There was a mysterious leak somewhere on my counter in the kitchen. It has been happening once in a while and this week it has been getting worse. I know I don’t fully function without coffee in the morning so I think that is part of the problem. Today I figured it out: the coffee pot leaks! I poured water into it, it seemed fine and then as it started brewing, the leak appeared. It doesn’t have the coffee color, its clear water that is sitting on the counter. I guess its time to look for a new magic coffee pot. I have a rule for such devices in my house: they have to have the automatic shut off. I occasionally get distracted and don’t want that nagging feeling of “did I turn it off” to be part of my day.
I guess I could make the search for a new coffee pot part of the kitchen remodel. Do I want to switch from the basic white version to perhaps red or black? That’s a decision I need to ponder today. It will probably depend on the price at the big box stores and what’s available. I have to think about what will look good with the new kitchen once its done. Oh, to have such small dilemmas, life is good.
