Well, I missed the bus yesterday. The coffee was great, but I ran into a problem when I was getting ready for work. I was walking out the door and the bus was going down the street. I hate when that happens! The next bus will not quite get me to work on time so I had to hop into the car. Parking in downtown is miserable. I circled the free lot for about 15 minuets with no luck so I headed to the pay lots. I put my money into the box and headed into the office. I logged onto my computer and then put in a request for vacation time. I work a bit of an odd schedule and it doesn’t match the parking lots times. I don’t want the hassle or expense of having my car towed.
I was offered an option of moving my car into the pass only restricted garage, but that didn’t feel right to me. The rules are the rules, I play by them, and it makes life a lot easier. I could leave work and go move the car onto the street and pay another meter fee for the balance of the time, but I figured with all the work stress lately, leaving early would be the better option.
That didn’t quite work out either. I was winding down my day when there was a call that came in. Actually three calls in a short time. Two were routine and the third was quite confusing: it took a while to figure out what was going on. I ended up staying for a full day: I ended up having to move my car. So basically I ended up having to pay to got to work yesterday. I didn’t get authorization to stay on overtime so I headed home, grabbed Saba and we headed to the park of a long romp.
I will be out at the bus stop early today; I sure don’t want to go through the hassle again.
