waiting to be filled
My friend and I headed out to Ikea and got the order placed for the sink and base. I found a faucet that was on clearance, about half price, so I got that instead of the one I was originally looking at. I was waking by the kitchen display of the style I picked and noticed that the next piece dad was buying me for Christmas was on sale, at a large discount. I said to my friend: I know we weren’t planning on getting this today, but since we have the pickup and a sale, I am going to get one. We headed down to the warehouse and managed to snag one off the shelf. I paid at the check out and then over to the pickup location.
When we got to the house, we agreed it was too late in the day to tackle the sink so we worked on the glass wall cabinet. It took a bit of work to get it together. We went ahead and mounted it on the wall. We want to add another brace to the cabinet to make it a bit secure, so Monday morning that will be added and then I can fill it and the brace on the bottom will be removed.
I will be working on the sink base this afternoon and then on Monday morning, my friend will meet me and get the key and hopefully by the time I get home from work, I will be able to use my new sink to wash the dishes that will go into the glass wall cabinet.
I sure like making progress on the kitchen, if feels good after waiting so long.
