I put it together last night. I managed to put one piece in backwards and didn’t realize it until I had gone a couple of steps further. I had to take a piece off, slide the misaligned piece back out, turn it around and put it back together. It’s our secret, that there is a blemish on the back side of the cabinet where I couldn’t get a nail out. I grumbled a bit when I nicked the panel, but if you can’t see it, it should matter right?
Other than the sink project, I had a nice quiet Sunday. I managed to get to yoga in the morning, get the packages off on their way to family. I hate that I didn’t think to grab postal boxes last week. I ended up using a shipping company and it was a bit more expensive. I had to wait on Mom and Brothers gifts: they are heading to Mom’s winter place and with the snow storm on the East Coast; they delayed their trip a few days. They are driving down this year, bringing a car down. It looks like they will be leaving this morning. I could have gotten the box for Dad off earlier, but with the kitchen plans in the works, and some other distractions, I ran out of time. It was just poor planning on my part.
Saba and I spent a couple of hours at the park. There must have been a lot of holiday stuff going on since we were able to just pull in and find a parking spot. It was a beautiful sunny afternoon and it felt good to be outside for a while.
I am anxious about work today: there is a change coming up in a few weeks. I should have more details today.
