I was thinking last night: there was a lot of quiet the last four days. I did get some calls from friends; I did make some calls to friends and managed to get a hold of family on the holiday. I understand most people have family commitments around Thanksgiving and Christmas. I know I am the odd one with out family near by. It makes for long holiday weekends. I managed to get a bunch of little chores done, did a bit of shopping and did some cooking in the new kitchen. It was a nice break from the usual day to day activities. I have to say I will be glad when the New Year gets here: I am ready to get back to my usual schedule without the additional holiday hustle and bustle and the strange emotions the creep up with colleagues. It is a few more work days to go, but reading the news this morning it looks like it will be a busy Monday for me.
