Harry Potter last night.
11/27/2002

Beer and popcorn for dinner.

I went and saw the movie with Patrick last night. It was fun but I will not look at spiders the same way again. I had a hectic day yesterday, I just could not get anything completed. Lots of paperwork piling up on my desk and I am heading out of town for a few days. Grr, it will be a nose to the grind kind of day.

I got a call yesterday from a guy I dated a little over the summer. Just a quick hello, how are you doing kind of call. I am not sure I want to go out for coffee with him next week but I agreed to it. See I get these calls frequently. Kind of sick of it, go out with a guy for a while then they do/say something really stupid and my word is NEXT. This one told me during a date “ gee, my old girl friend just got back in town and wants to get married. I don‘t know what to do, I really like her, we were good together.” That made my heart go pitter patter, as the blood rushed to my head. WTF? The word NEXT just kept ringing in my ears as I walked to my car. Then they call a few months later and want to figure out what happend.

I wish Don had called this week but it is a holiday week and I didn’t expect to hear from him. It is also guy time vs. girl time. Girls want a call in a day or two, guys think a week or two is fine. I can see it now, I will be in another state next week and he will call. “hey Devota, its Don, want to grab that cup of coffee?” Yah Don, that would be great, but can you wait a week? I am out of town.
