It was a long day waiting to arrive in Florida

hightened security measures, take off your shoes

I got to the airport just a little early. I thought they would be busy today. It was quiet, I did get the wand search after I set the metal detector off and I have to say the federal workers are a lot nicer than the contract workers used to be. They made sure there was a woman that used the wand instead of a guy like the last few times I flew.

I got to Florida with little adventure, the ride was a little bumpy but nothing outrageous. I did find Dad and Barb as soon as I got off the tram. It was so good to see my dad. I was shocked when I saw barg, she is known for her hair color but this time it was orange or orangish red, not the wine red I was used to seeing.

We stopped at there house for a quick snack and a glass of soda. I was thirsty from the trip. We had a nice little chat and I got to peek at the house but my stepsister was asleep with her kids and I understand they did not need to get woken up. The hotel I picked out is GROOVEY!

It is a deco hotel suite. It has barrel chairs, lounge type sofas and a kitchen table. It has a full kitchen with a fridge. It is so tacky! The bathroom is pink, not just pink I mean really pink. The tub is pink, the toilet is pink and the sink is pink. I wish I had a digital camera so you can see it!

So far day one has gone very well. I am going to pack it in early, Dad is going to get me at 9:30 am that is really 8:30 for me. We are off to do some site seeing along the way and I have to figure out how to post this. One thing I have learned with computers, do the hard stuff in the morning when you are fresh.

If your fresh in the morning. I usually have to wait until mid-afternoon before MY brain starts to work in any decent fashion.
