Yesterday was dad’s 65th birthday.
12/02/2002

It turned out to be a nice day in the park. I rode a bicycle with dad and Barb on the bike trail that runs along the west coast of FL. Nice, they took the old rail lined and paved it over. We had a nice picnic lunch after our ride.

We headed back to the house and Dad and I went through a box of photos he had. We found my baby picture! The one from the hospital, where it all started. There are photos of relatives I don’t know and there are photos of family that I remember. I found the confirmation photo of my grandmother, pictures of my grandpas boat, dad with his faithful dog and pictures of the old house in Greenwich. Wow was that a trip down memory lane. Dad gave me the photos to keep. He thinks I am a little silly wanting all the old family stuff. I am extremely glad to have it. It seemed to me that I was missing a part of my family after my parents split. I had no records of my dad’s side of the family. Now I have them.

We had a nice dinner last night, Chinese take out. Ended the night a little early, dad was not feeling all that well. We are off to Tarpon Springs a little later today.
