A night with the girls

Martha invited 6 other girls over for a gift card exchange. Food, chat and fun.
Cranky and I headed south for the get together. It was a subdivision of KB homes. It was new subdivision and there were no trees. The houses were tidy and all dressed in seasonal ware, lights and decorations. We had lots of munchies food and a little champagne. The gossip slowly got around to guy trashing, it was all in fun. The guy with the handlebar mustache that needs someone to tell him to cut it off and other assorted thrashings. It was a nice break from my normal routine.
The gift card exchange was a lot of fun. Six girls and seven cards. There were movie tickets, Pier One, Kohl’s, Mary Kay, Home Depot, Payless shoes (mine) and Garden ridge. The object of the game was to take a number and get a gift. If you wanted, you could steal the prior gifts. Poor Donna, she kept getting her cards stolen. Yup, I took the Home Depot card, more flowers! I was thinking I still have a gift card on the fridge that I need to use, I don’t go to malls so I have to ask someone where this place is.
I had a difficult day at work yesterday. I can’t put my finger on it but I could not get anything done. One crisis to another all day long. I am going to have to go in this morning and get some of the real work done. I hate to go in on the weekends but I can get a lot done without a lot of interruptions.
