LOR The Two Towers
12/23/2002

The highlight of the day was the movie.

Three solid hours of movie made bliss. The animation was incredible. The theater was packed. We (Kramer, Mom and myself) got to the theater early. I had picked up ticket earlier in the day. I thought Patrick was going to join us, but no response form him yesterday. The line was out the door a half hour before the show started. We managed to get decent seats about midway up and on the end. If you go to see this movie, wait until the previews start before you get your pop corn. There was a full 15 minuets of commercials and previews before the film started.

I finished up my Christmas shopping yesterday and was looking for a little dress to wear to the Governors Inaugural Ball. I have one in the closet that I haven’t worn but I saw a nifty one at the store yesterday. It was beaded and bejeweled. Alas, it had no room for hips. I think it was cut for Twiggy or a doll. Oh well, I still have time to shop and don’t really need a new dress but… I just want something new.

Mom is starting to drive me a little crazy. I am going to escape this evening, off to take a friend to the airport. Today any excuse will do to loose my appendage (mom). I am waiting to see if brother shows for Christmas. No word from him yesterday, I assume he landed in Houston and will be heading up this way but no phone calls. This is not unusual for him, I just try not to let him effect me anymore. I might head up to Fort Worth on Thursday for a little overnight stay. I want to see the new museum they opened last month. We will see how all this plays out.
