All the plans seem to be going backwards this week. I did get the season pass to TX Motor Speedway.
I have been waiting to purchase race tickets for about a month now. I wanted to get them before Christmas but wanted to use my Christmas bonus money. It was a bad year at work so no Christmas bonus. That’s OK, I still have a job, I know lots of people that are not working or only working part time. I managed to spend lots of money on tickets. I am trying to justify the purchase as only 48 per ticket per event. I am ok with that and I have saved some money for the purchase so when the credit card bill arrives, I will just pay it off. I can’t wait, the first event is March 28th to the 30th. I have a great place to stay up in Fort Worth and will be able to take Saba with me.
I called P. yesterday to let him know I had the tuxes in hand. Boys! He couldn’t stop by to try them on Saturday or on Sunday so it will have to wait until Monday morning. I guess he can rent something on Monday if these don’t fit. I will leave it up to him. I expect him to be dressed to take me to the ball. No tux, I go stag.
Dixie ended up with the wedding from hell yesterday. I called her about 3:30 to see if she lost my cell number. She was running out to the store to get more bobby pins for the wedding party. We decided to try for Tuesday Morning. I did manage to get a better color nail polish, I had tried some yesterday morning and just didn’t like the color. There was a nice lady at the store that was a blast. She helped me pick nail and lip color and some blush in the same color group. She seemed as excited as I was to be going to the dance.
The boss asked me Friday why I wasn’t going to take the professor to the dance. I exploded on him. I explained very heatedly that I was NOT going to take him to the social event of the season. He has not called or e-mailed in MONTHS. Yes, I did check and it was before Thanksgiving and the Phoenix races that I last saw him. The professor is taking me out to dinner on Thursday night. He has a lot of explaining to do. I don’t understand that man at all. I just keep hoping in the back of my mind that Don the guy from the Phoenix flight will call. Don seems like a better match but he hasn’t called either.
