Friday night at pet smart
01/25/2003

Ok so am I a Loser? I don't feel like one. I was just reading some stuff on fuckedcompany.com about 30’s woman not finding men. There is a new book out and the comments on the message board hurt a little.

I am now 37 never been married and no kids. The postings on the message board say buy a cat. I already have one of those. The article points out that the lifestyle of the generation behind me has changed. Post college concentrate on career, try living together before getting married, marriages are delayed until late 20’s early 30’s. Nothing I don’t know about already. It seems to me the author was trying to explain why this is happening and that all the “good” men had been taken already.

My dating history tells me that also. I don’t date that much now. I haven’t gotten laid in ages but I am content with my life. I would like to find a partner. I saw glimpses of my wants in the list this lady wanted also. (See my posing from 1/1/03.) The message board said to look at yourself. I have, I am doing fine.

I went to Pet Smart on Friday night to pick up cat food. I took Saba for the ride, he hasn’t been out that much because I was sick and it is so dam cold for TX. As I approached the store, there was a nice looking man walking out. He had just purchased pet food on Friday night. I wonder if this is the type of man I want. A guy that has been concentrating on his career and didn’t have a date Friday night either, but didn’t hit the bars. Hum just random thoughts.

Trying to figure out what to do today. It is to cold to do the yard work. I might go look for the groovy chair for the bedroom. Black or red. Comfy for reading and some neat style.
