Woops, I missed posting yesterday
01/29/2003

I spent the morning creating a summary of the police chiefs forum. I was sending it out to the neighborhood newswire.

The meeting went well. I found the location with out to much hassle. It is on a one way street and it is tucked in a corner. Nice building nice view. There were about 15 people on the forum. I forgot to count. I am sure I will be able to figure it out from the minuets once they get distributed. I was impressed with the number of neighborhoods that were represented, I think they were from all of Austin. I sat next to a doctor from the east side. He was new to the forum also. I hope we will get better acquainted over the next year or two.

I got fingerprinted and had to fill out paperwork for a background check. I only struggled with one question, what county was I born in? I know the city and the state but could not recall the county. I called mom from the cell phone and spoke to Aunt S. she said one county, but no, that was not right wrong state. I asked mom and she did not have a clue. Hum, fits in a pattern. Anyway, it seems I will get this neat little photo ID from the police department. It will allow me access to all the buildings and I am invited to attend internal meetings of the departments. Scary thought!

Tuesday was the day from hell at work. I had to go to the doctors for a check up, all is fine. I managed to get there on time, took 2 calls in route. I shut the phone off for 20 minuets and had 2 messages waiting when I turned it back on. This is the time of year all accounting people are stressed to the max. The CPA was in when I got back to the office, needing a bunch of numbers. I had forgotten to get ONE number from year end. It took almost an hour to get that one. I had to make other calls to confirm the numbers on a spread sheet that I didn’t quite understand, that took another hour and three calls. Tenants were bitching about everything and did I mention they are residing my building? The nailing and pounding went on all day. I was glad to shut the office door last night.

I took Saba to the park once I left work. We had a nice walk and he got to visit one of his little doggie friends. I was heading out to get dinner when the phone rang. A friend had lost her keys at work. I grabbed up Kramer then T. and we headed to the Sushi place for dinner. The conversations were interesting. I should have known, this would be a lively group. Headed to Ts house grabbed her keys and dropped her off to get her vehicle, dumped Kramer off and headed home. Saba was so happy to see me. No TV last night, just snuggled up with Saba and read myself to sleep.
