I am headed out early this morning to get THE badge.

I have been waiting patiently for the criminal background check to be completed by the police department. It seemed to take forever. I got the letter authorizing me to get the badge on Friday last week. There are only limited times to get all of this done. I am heading down for 8:00 AM. How on earth do people do this on a regular basis? The sun is not even up as I am typing.

I wrote a letter to Grandpa this morning. I had to call the nursing home to get the address. I confirmed that if he can’t read it, a volunteer will sit and read it to him. Sad thoughts in my letter with a bit of news from me.
