Hedges and Racing
02/16/2003
I managed to get my plants for the icky neighbor fence on Friday and got them all in the ground before the Bush race Saturday.
I was tired from planting 9 new hedges. I bought the large plants again. Large plants = big holes to dig. I started as soon as the sun was up. By 11 in the morning I was done. Cranky stopped by and was heading out for food. I joined her for some grub and got home in time to watch the race.
There were some nasty crashes yesterday. Todd Bodine and Michael Waltrip have pissed me off again. Both of these guys were racing hard and tried to push and bump there way to the front. I doubt Michael will catch a bad rap, he is one of the boys when it comes to the broadcast booth. I read this morning how Todd was saying it was not his fault again. I have the video and will watch it again just to make sure I didn’t see it wrong. I can’t see Todd finding a sponsor this year. He is only running a limited bush schedule and I have a feeling he will get put on probation again this year. Michael just needs to settle down. When you watch the top 10 racers, there was a lot of patience. Daytona, a super speedway with incredible banking and not much room, is not the place to bump and run. It is a stupid to put your other drivers in danger.
I skipped a party last night, I was just to tired to head out and party. Daytona 500 today starting at Noon.
