This economy stinks:

I talked with one of my favorite contractors yesterday, he is getting laid off at the end of the month 5 days from today. I am saddened by the news, I like B. and he brings a little light into my days. He likes racing and it is always fun to jab him abut his driver. I call him occasionally when the new is just to good to wait until I get home. I guess I hurt his feelings a little yesterday when I told him he was going to become a kept man! I could see the shoulders slouch down, a befuddled look on his face, and he said yah, right. Oops.
I got a hold of the commercial foreclosure list for central Texas yesterday. Lots of prestigious properties on the list for the auction on Tuesday. Some swank addresses, upscale properties and a few shopping centers. Makes me wonder how may other properties are just on the verge? I figure if you make the foreclosure list, you haven paid the banks if quite a few months. I would think they would work with you for a short time then give up and file, must take a few months to get the paperwork done.
Plans for today: work, yoga and a stop a the book store.
