Oh Robby, 36th place finish?
10/21/2003

Robby had a bad day again, this time at Martinsville. He was feeling ill with food poisoning and got 2 liters of fluid before the race. Poor Baby. Wrecked the race car and just had a bad weekend.

I watched some of the race highlights last night, it seems there were cars left damaged all over the track. Jeff Gordon ended up sweeping the Martinsville races. There is a big controversy about the pit lane flags. Some of the leaders claim the flag was not flying at lap 230 to indicate the pits were open. Having heard the scanners at the track, I don’t know how the spotters didn’t hear the track officials open the pits. The replay on NBC shows the flag was flying and the leaders just missed it. They are claiming that the Not racing back to the flag means the field laps once for Nascar to figure out the positions, but Mike Helton claims that was not the case.. Racing controversy how unusual!

I headed over to the office yesterday after having a ½ day off for the conference. I was quite surprised when I walked over to the office, I knew they were doing a bunch of landscaping but it came out beautiful. New gardens, new trees, lots of flowers. Good Job, it will make it nicer for the tenants I walk into the office and the accounting programs are down, the internet is down and the network is not functioning. Happy Monday! Quick fixes and we are back on line, back connected to the network and we go about the normal business of business. .

I managed to struggle thru the day, I was rather tired. When I finally got home, Saba was wired, he didn‘t get a lot of attention over the weekend. What is a girl to do? Head to the dog park and run the boy down. It was an exciting time at the park, lots of dogs, lots of critters: I saw a red cardinal, a bunch of squirrels (the dog didn’t see them). Once dusk passed, I saw an Owl in full flight. Boy was that neat, silently skimming over the park in search of dinner. I have heard them down at the park but had not spotted them before. I thought that would be the highlight of the evening but no….. I saw a shooting star, big bright and seemed to fall just out of my reach. It seemed odd to see it falling over the dam, just above the tree line and not being able to catch it. I did make a wish, lore says you should make a wish on a falling star…..
