Oops almost a week with out a post.
11/10/2003

It’s been a little hectic in my little world and I needed a break. I didn’t do to much over the week. I managed to look at a business that is for sale. I don’t think it is doable, the owner wants way to much money for it and I don’t think it can support my life style.

The owner was evasive about the revenue the business generates, wouldn’t tell me how much she pays in rent and some other key factors. I appears to me that I would end up working just to pay the note off and not much else from the business. I would have to negotiate a new lease and all that sort of stuff. I think I will call her and tell her I am going to take a pass on it. It was a little dream for a short while but reality in not all rose colored. I don’t think it is wise to go so far in debt without a big return.

Other than that I spent a good deal of time over the weekend reading, watching TV and cleaning the house. DAD arrives in Austin for a 10 day stay tomorrow. I am quite excited to see him. It will be his first visit to Austin and the first time he actually gets to see my place. I have sent him photos over the years, kept him up on all the construction news but I can’t wait to see his face. He is a little worried about Saba and he getting along. You can tell he is being silly. Just pet Saba a bit, throw him a toy and you have a friend for life.

Racing News: Matt Kenseth won the title yesterday. He is far enough ahead in points that even if he doesn’t start next week he has it wrapped up. Robby is 16th in the points battle followed by Mark Martin. Dale Jarrett is in 26th place. There is one race left in the season next Sunday. Scott Riggs dropped 4 places in the points battle for the Busch series. He is now listed in 5th place. Oh yah, Bill Elliot won yesterdays race. He was a bit overshadowed by Matt Kenseth title win. A good day for Bill.

Plans for the week: Monday recover and clean up day, Saba has left muddy paw prints all over from the rain this weekend. Tuesday pick up dad at the airport and the last cop class. The rest of the week is free for visiting with dad and running around a bit. I am so looking forward to it.
