Morning All!
11/24/2003

It’s South Austin, morning can be at any time of the day or evening. We don’t always stick to the rules down here. Wow what a busy little weekend. I managed to read a book, clean the house, have a home cooked meal and an excursion to the big box stores.

Friday Night I headed home after work and got ready for the JournalCon wrap up dinner. It was a lot of fun, we all traded stories, experiences from the conference and had quite a nice dinner. It was a good way to end the conference officially. I have a bit of paperwork to finish up but it is officially done. It seemed a little strange after months of meetings, seeing, writing and talking to each other for almost a year, it had been about a month since I spoke to most of the other folks.

Saturday I headed over VERY early to the IRS for the tax examiner exam. I either did really well on the test or I blew the whole thing. I am looking for work beginning the 1st of the year, the job is seasonal but I thought it might be a good match. I worked for H&R Block for many years prior to coming to Texas and for a year or two after I got here. I feel like I would be going over to the enemy camp but, what the heck. I got home from the exam a little brain fried, and set down just to relax. I managed to relax quite a bit. I fell sound asleep and missed my yoga class, missed a trip the girls were going on. I was just sound asleep.

I grabbed up Saba once I got my act together and headed to the dog park. There were lots of folks there on a Saturday afternoon/evening. Saba had a blast playing in the water with 2 other dogs. They grabbed a stick and the tug of war started. Splash, in the water, splash, out of the water and around the forest. Splash back into the river. They had a bunch of fun but I ended up with a wet, slightly muddy dog. He was exhausted on the trip home.

Saturday night was a stay at home/TV night. Lots of fun, a little excitement and up Sunday morning for church. I walked into church in sandals and a short sleeve shirt. The cold front arrived when I was inside, by the time I got out I was dashing to the car and heading home to put on my sneakers and a sweat shirt. I called up Kramer who wanted to go shopping. I know from experience in the past, this would be an all day event. He will leave no corner of a store unlooked at. The big box hardware store, the big box sports store and then the warehouse store. We started at 11:30 and finally finished by 4:00. I managed to get quite a few items I needed but Kramer loaded the car down. There had to be a couple of hundred extra pounds of stuff in the trunk.

After I unpacked all the stuff, I had to clean the casa. Laundry, more laundry, clean up the kitchen, clean up the floors….. I finally managed to get done by 10:00. It was a day full of chores.
