Friday, Happy Friday! Lots of stuff to be determined.
12/12/2003

Not much going on in the Casa de Devota. I am looking for work, doing a few interviews, going to the day job (part time now) and not much else. The new schedule is suiting me fine, it gives me time in the morning to peruse the help wanted sites and answer calls for work.

I am still a little frustrated in the job search. I know it has only been a short while but I will whine once again. I have the feeling that a lot of the employers are waiting until after the holidays to do there hiring. It seems we have Christmas and New Years coming up quickly. I don’t know what Saba and I will be doing for the holidays, not much I imagine, the budget will be down to no income by then. I thought about a road trip if I don’t have work lined up by then. Mom will be in Florida until January, brother is scheduled to join her there. I could stop at Dad’s and Grandpa’s place in one trip. Not sure yet, to be determined in the next few weeks.

Last night I just crashed. I have been feeling a little tired and icky for the last few weeks. I think it is just a major case of stress. I am putting myself under deadlines and making this worse for myself. I did get some good news in the mail. Remember the IRS test from a few weeks back? I got my grades. I am eligible for employment as a Tax Examiner. It is not a job offer but it does say I am qualified and will be contacted later on if they have a need for my skill set. That does sound good, but I think it is official government speak for OK we got your tests, you fit the qualifications but we are looking through the applications. To be determined later….

I don’t have any plans for the weekend other then Yoga class. I skipped class last night, I just curled up with my book and fell sound asleep after work. It was nice to just spend the evening curled up with Saba. He is a great companion and he likes to sleep with me!
