Contrast and Robby has a new crew chief.

Big news for me, Chris Andrews will be the crew chief for my beloved 31 car. That is good news as I was listening to the scanner at Phoenix, things were breaking down. I hope he will get a new spotter this season. I just got frustrated with his spotter, he wasn’t much help, and he had a lot of attitude and lots of silence. I think I could do it a lot better. Not that I have the experience but dam, I can tell a driver if there is a wreck, who is on his heals and what’s going on up front. Hum, is that my career change? Probably not but hey, it is a nice dream.
Me, I did a bunch of contrasting things yesterday. I was busy answering help wanted ads and then took Saba to the park in the morning. I went Shooting and to Yoga after work. I went out and destroyed my target then shortly after got to my “happy place”. It was freezing out and I was in the Sauna for a treat. I needed to get to my game back on and get myself out of my nervous, bundle of stress funk. It worked for my so... what the heck.
I have been struggling with my decision to leave my day job. The job search is not going as smoothly as I had hoped. I was thinking I could have something lined up before I left. It doesn’t look promising right now. I guess I will have a little time off. I don’t think that will be a bad thing. I have lots of little projects I would like to accomplish. I could use some down time. I would like to take a short trip.
I was told the other day that my last day will be a little sooner than I thought. That changes my timetable a bit. I don’t know if I can get to Florida for Christmas at this late date. My brother and Mom will be on the East coast and Dad is on the West coast. I will check into it today and see if there are any reasonable flights left. I don’t want to spend a bunch of money but if I can get away cheap I just might book a flight. I am going to look into driving time, but I don’t think I can make it for the holiday. The nice thing about computers, I can look for work from any location. The receiver of my resume doesn’t know if I am at home in my pajamas or if I am sitting at a Starbucks in Florida responding to his ad. I will keep you updated as plans come together.
