$18,000 per household in debt?
02/04/2004

I was just surfing the news today and I find this number a little shocking. This is car payments and credit cards. WTF? I get nervous if I run the dam card up a few hundred dollars, let alone a few thousand. Mind you I pay mine off each month so that stops those kind of numbers.

No wonder folks are freaking out. Whose fault is this? The consumers, societies or the banks? It doesn’t matter to me, it is just folks living beyond there means. If you add the student loans and on top of that how do you get out from under it? It would take years for most folks to pay that kind of debt off. The article I read said they are refinancing houses, borrowing from 401K plans and all sorts of risky attempts to get rid of the stuff.

Not much news from here, I am still working part time and enjoying it. I am still searching for a new full time job. I went to a resume writing class yesterday, it was very good. I have to reformat the one I have been sending out, I am dating myself with the “traditional” format. I got a bunch of information that was helpful and am heading off to an interviewing class this morning.

V,is back from working the Super Bowl in Houston. She was out of town for a week. Seemes a little strange to say it was quiet around the house. I have gotten used to having someone else in the house, the extra noise, activity and such. I didn't think I would have adjusted so quickly.
