I woke up this morning to snow and 28 degree weather with snow falling. Saba had his first real experience with a snow shower. We headed out the back door of brothers house to do our business in the morning.

Saba was silly, he was snapping at the snow flaks as they surrounded us. He is still not used to walking on the stuff. He hesitates each time he takes a step. I was having a cup of coffee, smoking a cigarette and watching my dog in wonderment. He loves to experience new sites, sounds and places.

Brother took us on a ride through the mountains we headed out of Los Alamos through the Jemez range. We saw the via condeas, (?) This huge open field that is about 17 miles long and just as wide. It was snow covered and just beautiful. We stopped at the Jemez pueblo occupied by the Franciscan monks in the 1300’s. Part of the stone and mud/straw buildings are still up. I was wondering why that part of the country was/is so popular with the “religious/spiritual” folks. The Christians, the Indians and the new age folks all gravitate to that part of the country. The energy is quite powerful.

We headed down to Santa Fe for dinner with a few of brothers friends. We went to a place called Cow Girls. They had a band, they were rather good and we ate, drank and watched folks dance all night. There was a groupie in training, she was a bout 4 and had all the men up dancing with her. Once we were done, we headed back up the mountain to the island of Los Alamos.
