Mark Martin finishes in the top 5, Robby is 30th and Matt Kenseth takes the checkered flag.

It was a good day for the seasoned drivers at Las Vegas motor speedway but the young guns had a lot of trouble, except Kenseth. I don’t know what the heck happened to Robby’s car, he was in the 20th to 30th position all race long. Mark finished up in 5th so that was a good showing for him, Dale Jarrett came in just out of the top 10 with an 11th place finish and Dale Earnhardt Jr. had a lousy day. Jr. had a piece of crap car all day long, he ended up in the garage a few times but they could never get the setup correct. It became a race to just finish. I am sure he was a little bit embarrassed but he ended the day with an out of race.
Kevin Harvick runs out of fuel with 5 laps to go? What the heck happened with all that computer technology? He ended up 21st but should have been in the top 5 or 10. Guess they will be studying there race notes from the track to figure that mess out.
Me, I am getting a bit disheartened with Robby’s performance this season. I might just have to leave my driver cap at home when I head off to Texas Motor Speedway. I will look for the official update on the web site later today. He didn’t get much or an TV time for Las Vegas.
I have a full day scheduled today: Work this afternoon and head off to a meeting with the Chief of Police tonight. It is the quarterly meeting that got rescheduled from a few weeks ago. I also have some SXSW stuff to attend to and am gearing up for the festival to start on Friday. I met up with my crew last night and it looks like I have some good volunteers for the Town Lake Stage.
