SXSW 1st Sunday

Sunday morning I headed over to the office to get a bit of work done before I went down to the convention center. I know I don’t want to work weekends anymore but this was an exception to the new rule.
I managed to get my work done and then head back down to the convention center for some more Interactive and Film panels. I wanted to see the Nascar race and ducked out early from the convention hall. I managed to get the last half of the race in, go Jr. he made up for his lousy showing in Las Vegas ending up winning the race in Atlanta. Robby moved up 5 positions in the points race but didn’t manage to stay on the lead lap for the race and he was a car back from getting the lucky dog pass as only a few cautions fell during the race.
After the race I headed back down to the SXSW activities, Sunday night was the Web Awards. My friend John Halcyon Styn was presenting. He is always good for a laugh. He had pink hair this year. Oh that boy is just pretty even in pink. His original site is http://cockybastard.com/ and he is probably the only male I think could get away with that one. I managed to run into Pud from http://fuckedcompany.com/ but couldn’t find him after the show. A good time was had by all, the awards were a bit tame this year but so is the computer industry currently. I headed back to the house after, I skipped the after party.
