04/14/04 Ugh, I am ready to kill my brother.
04/02/2004

I started out at 6:30 am to get to the airport to meet him in Dallas to get to the races on time. I arrive at 11:05 to find out he missed his flight! Practice starts in 1 hour and he will not be in for an hour and a half. I am so pissed, I am thinking of just leaving him at the airport.

Brother does this occasionally, he is not punctual at all and that just drives me over the top. I called him this morning, I woke his butt up before I left the house and still I end up waiting. I didn’t book the late flight for him: I wanted to get to the track when the gates opened. I managed to get 4 days off in a row by working last weekend so I could make the opening practice. I got up early this morning so I could make practice …. Oh well, if I kill him I wouldn’t get the new job I want. I don’t think the police department would like it if I was up on murder charges when I applied for a position.

What’s been going on here other than that? Well, I got to spend a bunch of time with my cousin from CA. That was a blast, I managed to find out about the job I interviewed for last week, I didn’t get. I have a couple more applications in so let’s stay positive here. (I keep telling myself that.) I did manage to get a few more trees planted around the casa, the city gave me two replacements for the two they cut down a while back. I managed to find some folks to watch Saba for the weekend. We had a doggie emergency and the plans I had changed last minuet. Cranky and T. are going to help out, P. will be a back up and the roommate will be in and out. I am sure he will be upset with me by the time I get back to Austin. Click on the about section to see a photo of Saba and I.

On the positive, I am going to be at the races all weekend, brother will split the hotel bill with me and I don’t have to worry about selling the other ticket. I guess with brother along it will be about ½ the cost it normally runs for a race weekend. Oh, I am going to make him pay for the parking at the airport. It would have been free if he had been on time!
