Sorry, we should be back on track in a few days.

Looks like I will go back to a human schedule some time next week. Do you realize how hard it is to get up and out the door before the sun is up? It’s been a bit ruff on Saba and I and I haven’t updated as much as I should.

Random thoughts and stuff from the last couple of weeks:

I Love my Dad, I am grateful I have such good parents and they are/have been supportive of me during my job transitions. Thanks Dad.

The lawn mower saga… My friend Ann said it best, there are some things you just don’t buy used: lawn mowers, vacuum cleaners and there was one other thing she mentioned that I have completely forgotten. I will have to ask her. Yes I am now cutting the grass at the Casa de Devota. The lawn service vanished, the numbers I had got disconnected and I was desperate. I saw this guy on the way to yoga that sold used lawn mowers… I stopped, I got one, I didn’t pay a lot, got it home and it just died after 10 minuets…. I head back to his house and he will not answer the door. The alarm bells go off in my head, “you just got screwed”. I head to the repair shop with my new used lawn mower and drop it off for repair. They let me know it will take a week before I get it back. I stop on the way home and rent a dam lawn mower. I end up doing this chore in the heat of the afternoon and get it returned by 3:00 p.m. I managed to mow the lawn instead of doing yoga that day but it was a work out… I pick the lawn mower up last Saturday morning from the repair shop and start on my new chore. Guess what? After about 10 minuets the dam thing dies again. I have had it by that time; I am about to cry, am frustrated as hell and head over to the big box hardware store. I don’t have time to look for a sale so I just plop the debit card down and get a new red lawn mower with a 2 year warrantee. Grass gets cut. Oh, I did leave the old mower out front of the house with a note: FREE, starts – runs for a bit and then just dies.. I have had it.. its yours. It was gone: from the time I hopped into the shower to the time I got into my car I headed on down to yoga. I hope someone else has better luck than I did.

Critters:
Yup, got one in the house. He’s not paying rent and he has to go. It has a tail, it launched its self from the top of the cabinets to the back of the fridge. Mind you this was just after I turned on the light at 5:15 a.m. I was headed to the magic coffee maker (it always has my coffee ready in the morning). I screamed, I pouted like a baby and then I got mad. I got the broom out, moved the fridge and started hunting this dam thing. I was yelling and cursing as I swatted and made noise. I am just so grateful no one called the cops. It must have sounded like a domestic disturbance. It fit the title, but not quite as I am getting used to working at the local cop shop. I broke some china, swore but he won that round. After work I stopped and got some of those sticky traps. I got some poison too, but some friends talked me out of putting that down. I don’t need a vet bill from Saba playing with a poisoned critter. I did call P. and told him he will need to come over and deal with this thing once it gets stuck. He told me he would, he is such a pal. Where the hell is the man of the house when you need him?

Brother:
Mom gets home from NM tonight, she has spent the last 10 days helping Brother out. I guess she left him in good shape, laundry done, groceries in and clean house. He told me he should get a walking cast some time next week.

Racing: Watched the cup race Sunday, wasn’t to excited about it. I did head down to the local track Saturday night for short track action. The Lone Star Truck series was in last week along with the dwarfs and legacy cars. I have to admit, I did skip on out of there around 11:00 p.m. and headed home, I was tired. This weekend ROMCO racing is rescheduled. There is a chance of rain in the forecast but I am hopeful.

Boys/Men
Directed at someone specific: Thank you. You made me smile with your email. I did find the letter, I read it again tonight and I cried tears of joy and tears of sorrow.

Off to bed for now, 5:00 is only 7 hours away.
