Where was the spotter?
08/09/2004

Ok so I am pissed at Robby's spotter again. Sound like a repeate? Yup, it sure is. Robby was running in the 4th place position at the brickyard yesterday when he had a tire go down. On the TV broadcast, he was asking his spotter "should I pit now?"

No answer from the spotter and he passed the pit road enterance. A 1/4 of a lap later the tire blew and then caught fire. Robby ended up pitting with the wheel well englufed in flames, the fire fighters trying to put it out and the team trying to change the tire. Well, lets just say the chance for a win went up in smoke. He ended up pitting agin to fix a brake line problem from the fire.

When are they going to change spotters? This is not the first time he has not responed, it happend in Phoenix last year with lap times. It happened at Texas this spring and now at the Brickyard. What the hell is he doing? Why doesn't he answer on the Radio? Where is he? What the heck is he up to? It realy sucks and I cant beleive that Richard Childress has not done something about this. He did make an enginering change last week, it appears that was a good move, but it is time to change spotters.

Other news:
not much going on here, Saba and I are just getting through the dog days of summer. I have a nasty litttle cold trying to take over. I slept a lot over the weekend, didn't do much else.

Waiting for my lap top to get fixed, still borrowing roommates, not to bad but I do like my lap top better.
