Lucky 13 yesterday.

I was watching racing yesterday when the pager went off.
I hate when that happens. It was going to be a lazy afternoon with an early evening meeting. Things change in my world rather quickly. It was off to work for 5 ½ hours. I don’t mind the overtime: it is always nice to have when payday rolls around. It was on the last couple of laps of the F1 race when the telephone and the pager went off. I had turned on the TV at work to see what was up with the cup race, but that didn’t work to well. The TV got shut off, I couldn’t say anything and I am not sure that it was "professional" anyway.
Robby Gordon managed a 13th place finish. Carl Edwards won and I was surprised to seed Mikey Waltrip in tenth place. I figured he would be out long before the last lap.
Well the city manager named here choice for the new boss: it will be the California guy. I think he will make a good chief. I think he will be a good match for the city, for the media and for the special interest groups. I know I was impressed with him.
I have a meeting this afternoon. I am feeling my mortality a bit. I have an appointment to draw up a will. It’s time to get my wishes officially on paper. The hardest part is trying to figure out who will get Saba. There is a bit of wrangling going on: Mom has offered but she has this fur thing and Florida doesn’t take dogs. I just don’t know right now. I have Sid and the fish figured out.
