I forgot to tell Saba we had a day off from work.
09/28/2007

I took a mental health day today.

It has been so stressful, I can’t seem to get a break lately and I just keep wondering if there is something I can do different. I pissed off the Sergeant yesterday, made a joke that didn’t go over well. It was OK when they joked about it the other day, but my joke went over like a ton of bricks. Oh well, I guess I should just keep my mouth shut.

We had the Administrative Assistant team building lunch and outing yesterday. I don’t have nice things to say about it, except what were they thinking? I was amused at the attire of the other assistants: tight cropped pants, revealing tops and bedroom shoes. I wish I had brought my camera. Shopping as a team building event?

I have a list of things I need to get done this weekend. I am starting out early this morning as Saba woke me up at our usual time. I have the laundry going. I have the list written up and a plan in place. 10 items so far. I am getting a couple knocked off early and working through the list today. Later on, I am heading to the local track tonight for some auto racing. It’s the season ending spectacular. Two nights of racing, I plan to be at both.Due to the weather cancellations, it will not be the last race of the season, but it should be a lot of fun.

I am off to work on the list, get my personal life back on track today. If I can’t control the work environment, at least I can try to control my personal life.
