Roses Restructure and Paper Whites.
10/11/2007
I am allergic to roses; they make me sneeze, my eyes water and are just not a good match for me.
I have lots of roses in the garden and in the yard. But I prefer the more spring like flowers in a bouquet. I was wondering if a certain man was going to bring me flowers the other night, I had a feeling he might have thought of it. It is always a delicate situation for me: “Honey, I love the flowers, but could you get something else next time?” It sounds a little ungrateful, I know but what else can I say? I didn’t have to worry, no flowers, but an awful lot of fun!
Restructuring at work is causing me lots of problems, I need some back up. I got caught in the middle again. I need someone that can stand up for me. I wasted 5 hours on a project that no one told me about until the last minuet. If it was a one time occurrence, I could understand. This is twice in less than ten days. I will have to get with the bosses and see if they can open a dialog. My views were not quite understood by the requestor yesterday.
I wore one of my new fall skirts to work yesterday. It is quite conservative, just above the knee line. I looked good in it: I do have nice legs. The worst part was I couldn’t sit at my desk yesterday afternoon. I had 3 tech guys using my computer, crawling under my desk. Needless to say, I couldn’t get a lot done yesterday. Between the tech guys, the report request and an already hectic day I had reached my limit at the end of the day. I ran out the door, literally. I almost missed the bus. I forgot to call S. last nigh, I just wanted to get away from everyone.
I headed to the dollar store: I managed to get a few things I wanted. I got some candles, some chips and the faucet covers were on sale. I figure with winter approaching, I should get those. I can’t find the ones I had before I moved into the new house and I need a set for each house. I also purchased some paper whites. I got two: one for the office and one for home. They are the bulbs you can force to put you in the spring mood. It says on the package it will take 6-8 weeks for them to bloom. That would put them at mid December if I plant them now. I wonder if I will even be at the same job in 6-8 weeks with all the changes. I think I will plant the one at work, but wait a couple of weeks for the one at home.
