It must have been a good party, the cops were called.

I went down to the track last night: burr, it was a little chilly.
I ended up bundled up with 2 nice men: one a bit older who I sit with on a regular basis at the track, the other a former driver I haven’t seen to much this year. We were in the stands as the temperature dropped to 55 with the wind blowing on us. We all pitched in, one had extra gloves, I had an extra blanket and the three of us were snuggled up on the bleachers. I felt like a little diva, it was a nice feeling all chipping in what gear we had and sharing the warmth.
The racing was great last night: Joey Tschoerner blew his car up but managed to still take the championship with the Thunder Stocks. In Super Stocks, Greg Rohmer won the race, Cary Stapp won the season. The Pro Modifieds ran with John Heil taking the race followed by Mark Chrudimsky and I think it was Mark that won the season, he was way ahead in points. The Pro Trucks ran and Brian Meredith won the race: Jim Albert won the championship. The TSRS drives were in a non points race: Bobby Joe New won the championship last weekend in Houston but announced his retirement last night. Brian Moczygemba won the race followed by Bobby Joe New and Chris Schilds. It was a good night of racing except the 79 of Joe Aramendia was out early in the race: he was second in points for the year.
The San Antonio drivers gave a plaque to Mary Ann Naumann for helping them keep their racing season going, inviting them up to Kyle for the rest of the season. This was after San Antonio Speedway got shut down due to city annexation and building code problems. It was a bit of a transition for the drivers and crews, different rules and such, but it worked out and there was some great racing and the San Antonio fans followed their drivers and we had some great rivalries going in the stands. I am sure it will be even more fun next season when they can combine the classes.
I was ready to leave the track just after midnight. I headed home to find a party in full swing at the house. The girls had cleared it with me; they were having about 30 over for Halloween party with a keg. I landed in the drive about 12:30 and apparently the cops had already been called out. Someone must have made a complaint: I can guess who it was, but need to verify it on Monday. The girls were afraid I would be upset, quite the contrary, I told them as long as it wrapped up and moved inside by 1:00 a.m. they were perfectly legal with the noise codes and I had no problem. I think this is a case of the people in glass houses. At least my girls didn’t have any illegal drug use issues, if it is who I think it is, they should be a bit more careful about throwing stones.
