Heading to NYC & CT for a long weekend.
11/14/2007

Lots of folks seem to be traveling this weekend.

I am heading North, I plan on getting some bagels, pizza and some real Italian food along with a bit of shopping. I am going to have dinner with some old friends Saturday night, a shopping day in the city with another friend and spend some time with Mom.

Brother is heading out to a wedding in Tennessee, Dad’s heading to New England and Robby Gordon is doing Baja along with Homestead Miami for the final race of the Nascar season. I have the TV programmed to capture the final race, I hope I got the programming right!

I managed to get a whole lot accomplished at the office on Tuesday. I was given a list of tasks from the new boss, some I made arrangements for other people to do. I didn’t have the time and some were just not my job to do. It will be interesting from now on…. Let’s just see how it goes. I still have my list of four recommendations, he didn’t have time to listen to them and so I am just going to keep my list handy for some other time.

I ended up having to make up 45 minuets of time yesterday. I went to the good by lunch for the former Lt. and Sgt. It took longer then my usual lunch time so I had to make up the time at the end of the day. I didn’t want to take the chance of getting caught up in some timesheet/attendance issue so I just tacked the time on the end of my work day. It made if for a crunch to get ready for the trip last night so I got up extra early to get packed and get my stuff together for my adventure this weekend.

Unfortunately Saba can’t join me for this adventure. I had his flight booked, but I couldn’t find ground transportation for us. I called and emailed five different companies to get us from the airport to Mom’s house and no one would take Saba. I am a bit upset I had to arrange a babysitter for him. I wanted to take him to NYC for his birthday next week. I guess we will have to do something else spectacular for him.

I am off to catch the bus to the plane to the limo to Mom’s house. I am not taking the laptop, so I will be coffee shop surfing for the weekend.
