Sometimes quiet is better.
08/23/2008

I am trying to keep some thoughts to myself lately.

There is something amiss at work. I can’t put my finger on it. I will just sit back and observe for a bit. It will come out; it might just take some time.

Other than work it was a quiet week: a couple of yoga classes, a few trips to the park and a few phone calls. I got the renewal in for my season tickets for Texas Motor Speedway. I will definitely renew them for the ’09 season. It looks like Brother will be spending Halloween in CT, skipping the races this fall. I need a race weekend partner: wouldn’t it be nice if…. Never mind.

I managed to find some very pretty wind catchers at the discount store the other night. Clearance- 50% off so they were cheap. I grabbed two of them and hung them up on the back porch the other night. I will move one out into the yard this weekend. I just want to figure which tree branch will be best for that one. I think I might just paint some of the yard art this weekend. I have some left over paint from the trim, thought I might just put it to use. I might just start pulling weeds in the back garden this weekend. I will definitely be looking at my bicycle: the bus company is threatening a strike, time to get the tires re-inflated and do a quick check to make sure I have alternate transportation available.

I keep thinking about closet doors this week: I am getting tired of looking at them in there unfinished state. Perhaps its time to get moving on the house projects again. Time to get the final finish out on the inside done. I looked at the Ikea catalog the other night and their kitchens are cheap. I might just head up and bring my measurements with me. I need to get a firm price and see if I can make that leap in the next few months.
