A woman for VP!?
08/30/2008
Its Sarah Palin I am so excited.
I watched as the announcement was made: I was at the office. The democrats I work with told me to turn the TV down. Ha, I still got to watch, still got to listen. I was impressed by her acceptance speech, I was impressed how she carried herself. I think she will be a challenge for the democratic ticket.
It’s a woman thing: I watched years ago as Geraldine Ferraro gave it a shot many years ago. She was the wrong woman for the job on the wrong ticket. From the initial coverage, it looks like Mrs. Palin has the whole package.
Hillary Clinton: proud mom, proud democrat but not a proud wife? It speaks volumes to me about her disappointment. I doubt it was an oversight there was way to much preparation for her speech to not mention her husband.
I went to my local news site this morning and there was no mention of her on the front page of the site. It was football scores, Gustav coverage and not a photo, not a story or an editorial. Hum….. The New York Post, The New York Times, The BBC and a bunch of others mentioned her; they ran some articles and editorials. I guess it’s not news here in Austin, or least according to the Statesman.com
I am heading down to the local races tonight. I am looking forward to the TSRS cars on the track and some good local short track action. Thunder Hill Raceway announced two more dates for the season earlier in the week, that’s good new too.
