Feeling empowered in my glasses.
09/05/2008

I watched as Sarah Palin give her acceptance speech.

She did great! I was excited, I felt empowered and I am looking forward to the rest of the campaign and the debates. I think this woman will be great at debating; she sure is a great public speaker. I know there are a couple of “scandals” lurking: Her daughter’s pregnancy and her ex-brother in law the state trooper getting fired. Gosh if that’s all the dirt they can dig up on her that’s not bad at all. Do we need to do a laundry list of the Clintons misadventures?

Senator John McCain isn’t the most dynamic speaker, but he sure is one strong man. I think he will tackle the issues, get spending under control. He will keep me safe and not reach deeper into my bank account.

I hope this isn’t all campaign hype: I am ready for some changes in Washington, some changes at the state levels and some changes in the local political arena. I am tired of the politicians wasting my money, paying consultants to do their dirty work. I want to feel good about government again.

Racing news: Dario will be heading back to the IRL, Robby’s in legal trouble and there is local racing Saturday night. Nascar is scheduled at the Richmond track but the weather may push the race to Sunday.
