I's Me's and teams.

Congrats go out to Scott Dixon on his IRL Championship and to Helio Castroneves on a photo finish win.
I managed to catch all three races yesterday. I watched the Richmond races thanks to ESPN on the computer and the IRL on broadcast TV. I am glad the chase will be on broadcast TV, I love the access to the internet broadcasts, but I am looking forward to being able to watch the races in the living room on the TV instead of in the office on the computer screen.
There sure were some wrecked race cars throughout the day. The Nascar case contenders were firmed up yesterday and Smoke was a bit bitter about not beating Jimmy and Chad out for the win. Jr. said it was a racing thing between him and Kyle.
I am going back to the team player issue again; it shows in the scanner conversations between the spotters, the crew chief’s, the drivers and the crew members. If there isn’t good communication, things fall apart when it comes down to a critical pit stop.
It’s the same way with my work: if I don’t get informed, I don’t know what to do when information comes in. If I don’t know who the players are and if I don’t know the key issues that need to be resolved, I can’t help. There are no I’s in team, but there sure are a lot of Me’s at the office right now.
