Honda pulls out of F1.

US Automakers pleading with Congress.
I just read on the international news site the announcement was made last night by Honda. That’s huge news and probably a sign of more bad news to come from the Automakers to Race teams. I doubt that factory support of racing will withstand the eye of Congressional oversight and I am sure it’s out the window if there is a bankruptcy filing by any of the US Automakers.
There is already an unofficial list of personnel let go at the race teams going on Jayski's site , I am sure the numbers will get worse. It’s going to be a difficult year for racing in 09. The teams that can field cars will have to do so on much smaller budgets.
It’s time to get back to the roots of racing: cutting the overhead and the fluff.
