A brisk Saturday.

It was a lovely Saturday to hang around the house.
It was quite cold by Texas standards and I didn’t have anything planned. I did the requisite chores early in the day, but the heat was still kicking on way to often for my liking.
I grabbed a book I have been reading and cuddled up with Saba for a long bit. I got through most of it, a few phone calls and a few trips to the kitchen for some snacks. By the time it was getting dusk, I was ready to head out. I bundled up and Saba and I hit the store: just a few things that I wanted were on my list. I saw a new set of plastic lunch containers on sale: they have red tops. I put those in my basket along with some holiday candy for the office. I stopped decorating the office last year: someone had taken my decorations down and thrown them away. (Bah humbug.)
I stopped last night at a usual spot but one of the waitresses I haven’t seen in a while was there. She changed her shift a while back and our days don’t seem to match up much anymore. It was great to see her, she is doing well, her family is doing fine. It as a nice little treat to see her again.
