Oh hum Monday.
It was a bitter morning as I headed into work and it looks like today will be another freezing day. The up side is the bulbs I planted will get their freeze boost to bloom bigger in the spring. I grabbed my back East coat out of the closet, it is big, bulky has a hood and covers my butt. A hat and some gloves made me look quite the site, but I was toasty warm on the walk in.
I got to the office and it was just a day. Nothing unusual, lots of weekend paperwork, some new requests for reports and a mystery. I often have to find old reports; this one was a request for a 1949 murder. I spent a bit of time on it, couldn’t find any information but will keep digging today.
I was watching the clock as it got closer to the end of the work day. I realized that the big clock in the unit was set a few minuets behind. I guess that’s why I have missed the bus a few times last week. Not a big deal, but it means an additional 25 minuets waiting downtown when I really want to be home.
I managed to amble home after a stop at the local grocery and got the house ready for the deep freeze last night. I have plants on the kitchen table, faucets and outside plants covered up for the cold. Saba and I bundled up for the night.
