No gamers or geeks
12/22/2008

It sure looked like a holiday this morning.

I headed into work at my usual time on the usual bus and when I got to the coffee spot, there was no one else there. No gamers, no geeks, no collage students and no bankers. It was me and the barista, he happily made me a peppermint mocha and I grabbed a taco to go. As I walked further to the office, there were very few people on the street. I headed into the building and the parking lot was half empty. As I rounded the corner to the offices, I stopped and looked: one of the lights was on. I said to my co-worker “I am glad to see you here; I was beginning to think I had my days mixed up.” No, she said it was actually Monday but her drive in was very quick this morning because there was no one else on the road.

The day went quickly; I was trying to get caught up on a case from Friday night. I had my usual stuff to do on top of that and I just plugged along with my day. I headed home and grabbed up Saba. We had to stop and make sure I had a key for the house I am pet sitting for. A quick run through the feeding and we are back home and will be snuggling up for a chilly night.

Tuesday will be another work day for me, I wonder if it will feel even more like a holiday.
