Christmas Morning.

Santa brought me some gifts last night: he must have a deal with Saba.
I fell soundly asleep last night and Saba never barked once. I am sure Santa must have had some dog treats and a deal going with the dog. I woke to find a fabulous array of packages on the kitchen table.
The coffee is brewing, the heather is on warming up the house and it will be filled with laughter and phone calls shortly. My family is scattered this year: Mom is in Florida, on the east coast. Dad and Barb are at their place on the west coast of Florida. Brother is in West Virginia and I am in Austin. It didn’t seem like a good year to travel: the airlines were gouging the prices early on. The price of fuel was up quite a bit, but has since dropped. Finances were a big consideration this year but I think my biggest factor was IT. I didn’t feel comfortable getting on an airplane with ear problems, I didn’t think I could commit to the 20 hour drive with my car being older and IT subject to appear out of no where with out a back up driver.
So here it is Christmas morning, Saba and I ready to start our day. We need to wait until it’s a decent time to call the folks, call some friends and open our presents. We will head out later for a gathering of friends, some gift giving there and some Christmas dinner is in store.
Happy Christmas: may your day be filled with laughter and love.
