Getting on with things.
01/18/2009

I took a day to react.

I sulked a bit, pouted a bit and now am in a better frame of mind regarding IT. I got through the list of things I needed to do from the specialist. I had to make a couple of purchases, get a new routine in place and start a new regiment. I will continue doing all I can to fight IT. I am making baby steps in my progress, but heading in the right direction.

Otherwise, it’s been quiet in my world: The office was OK on Friday, the city manager sent out a notice about a hiring freeze. I guess the budget is quite a mess. I hope my job will be on the safe list, there are rumors about layoffs. I can’t spend time worrying about what if I get laid off. There isn’t much more I can do about it anyway. I live fairly cheap; I don’t have debt other than the house. I went and got my hair cut Saturday, a slightly new style, a new look for the new year. I am working on my spring plans: race tickets purchased, local racing gearing up and a few events I am pondering. I got an announcement about a High School reunion. I am not sure if I will be able to fly but have put it on my calendar anyway.

It is supposed to warm up a bit today so the plan is to head to yoga, then to the nursery for some plants and work a bit on the gardens so they look good for spring. I offered up the desk to the neighborhood group but no takers, so I will put it out by the curb this afternoon. Someone will take it I am sure. Sometimes its nice to live on a well traveled street
