weekly update.

I was watching to see if the “perfect murder” would make the national news. It didn’t, it ran in a local paper and hit the AP wire, but didn’t go anywhere from there. Interesting: it was a busy news cycle. I am not going to put up the link; I struggled with the amount of information that was released. I hate to think I made it easier for anyone to commit a crime.

I have been getting ready for my part time roommate to arrive. B arrives this afternoon after a drive across country. He is coming down to work the SXSW festival again. He is always good company and I could use that right now. I cleaned up his room, got the desk moved into the living room. Last time he was here, I left my desk and found that even though I have a lap top, it was annoying after a couple of weeks not to be able to sit and type.

Other than getting ready for his arrival, it has been quiet in my world. IT is acting up again: I had a few days that were great and then slid back a little bit. I know from others experiences it’s not a liner recovery. It will be fits and starts, forward and backwards for a few more months. A bit discouraging, but encouraging knowing I can get better.

Work was just work this week, nothing exciting after the perfect murder adventure. Lot's of paperwork and research at the court this week.

On the economy: I got two emails about hotels at Daytona for Speed Week: $ 119.00 per night. That was unheard just a year ago; everything was sold out a year in advance. I hear the Super Bowl is facing the same thing this year. There are tickets and hotels for the game tonight.
