the race was exciting racing until the checkers.
I watched the race with much excitement: one of there years, I am going to make a Vegas race weekend my birthday present. It’s the beginning of the season and there sure is some shakedowns going on. Half of the teams that were in the top 12 are no longer in the top after this race. It was full of turns of fate: missed pit stalls, pit lane penalties and turn two kept twisting the cars around.
Kyle Bush went from first to last and back up to first place with an engine change after getting the pole. Clint Bowyer and Jeff Burton followed through the checkers for an exciting win. Jimmy Johnson hit the wall hard with 5 laps to go: he was moving forward for a win when turn two caused a mishap.
It was a quiet weekend for me: not a lot of activity around here. I seem to have gotten a cold or allergies and they have brought me down a bit. I did manage a quick trip to the outlet mall: two pairs of pants for work but no tops this time. I don’t like the styles so far this year so I am holding off a bit. Chores are a bit behind and I am not sure about work today: I have an hour or two to make that decision.
