Roses, Sprinklers and Shopping.

Weekend work at the casa.
I was puttering around the gardens yesterday. It was warm and overcast so it was a good day to work outside. I have been putting it off due to IT and a head cold, that’s not a good combination for me: especially weeding, that makes my head spin. I managed to muddle through and get a lot done. I pulled out the weeds in the front bed and fund most of the flowers I put in last year are coming back. I had some roses that I bought a couple of weeks ago, got those planted and hope to have some pretty flowers in a couple of weeks.
I headed out to the store after my garden adventure to pick up some gardening supplies. One of the hoses needed to be replaced; it had sprung a leak and soaked me as I was trying to water the plants. I found a new soaker hose for the front garden, found a sprinkler I think will work for the rock garden and picked up some grass seed incase it rains this week.
I stopped and let T’s dog in and out on that trip and then later in the evening I headed out to another store. I found a red duvet cover on clearance, it looked good in the package, but it’s not exactly what I wanted once I put it on the bed. Perhaps I will get used to it in a few days; it was cheep enough that if I decide to get rid of it, I will not feel guilty. I also found a duffle bag that matches my on of my back packs. I think I will use that for weekend trips. I sure will look nifty with matching gear heading out for adventures this summer. I stopped and took care of the dogs again and then headed to the house for the night.
